It was my last day in Taiwan, the saddest part of the trip whereby I had to bid goodbye to the beautiful and awesome country. Woke up pretty early to have breakfast in the hotel before the taking the transport to airport. Did tax refund at the airport before checking-in, but in the end all the tax refund sum went to contribute to the excess baggage. Wtf!

睡到自然醒 and went out to Sogo to for brunch. We went to this particular japanese restaurant selling katsu. It seems to be quite popular as the crowd started to come in during lunch time. We ordered the christmas special set meal for two which is very affordable for price. It comes with appetiser, mains and desserts.
 
Ikan bilis and radish salad, the ikan bilis is very crispy.



Fresh lettuce salad. You could add you favourite dressing, either the 柚香醬油 or katsu sauce.

Toufu



Mixed platter, prawns, eggplant and king trumpet mushrooms. The prawns are super fresh, fried egglants is so soft and the king trumpet mushrooms are so juicy. I could totally eat a few more bowls of rice!





Mentaiko katsu roll and 腰内肉's katsu. The mentaiko katsu roll is so damn good, I've never seen such dish in singapore. The 腰内肉's katsu totally melts in your mouth. It's so awesome! I hope I could find similar one in singapore.





Dessert, vinegar drink and vanilla ice cream in matcha tea with mochi.





Went to 台北車站. Shopped at the underground mall and 新光三越. In the evening, we went to 臨江街夜市. It's also a small neighbourhood nightmarket but the shop there is awesome. There's lots of shops selling clothes, shoes and etc.









My favourite 炸蛋蔥油餅 from 士林夜市. The one at 士林夜市 was relocated, I'm glad that I found it during my trip.

沙茶香腸 The satay taste with the taiwan sausage is such a great combination.



炸牛奶 It's my first time trying, it taste like mochi but with some milky taste. It will definetly taste better when you eat it pippin hot.



排骨酥 Crispy on the outside, soft and tender on the inside. Too flavourful to say no.

Entree, 香蘭葉風味炸雞 Dazzling famous fried chicken wings. The wings is fried to perfection, crispy on the outside, tender and juicy on the inside. The thai sweet chilli definetly add flavour to the chicken wings.



泰式打抛肉飯 Fried minced pork with rice. The minced meat is has a very strong basil taste which makes me feels like I'm in Thailand. It's one of the must try dishes.

Yes, your eyes are not playing trick. I ordered 泰式涼拌公仔面 Thai style dry instant noodle again because I really love it.



Dessert, 椰香芋頭紫米粥 Coconut and yam glutinous dessert. It's so damn good because it has yam together with my favourite dessert, pulut hitam! Must try!



Walked around in breeze centre. I really wanna get a pair of limited edition Jeffery Campbell but my aunt forbid. Ate Baskin robbins to comfort myself, I think I had the wicked witch cola. I like the taste of the ice cream because it's not too milky in taste.

Had some tea snacks at their 7-11. The 肉鬆飯糰 and 冬瓜茶 only cost $39NTD ($2SGD), super cheap. If only singapore's 7-11 have it, I think all the students can save alot settling their meal there. Even though the 肉鬆飯糰 is not really that tasty but still can pass with the price.



Headed to meet my classmates for Jay chou's restaurant again. Jay chou actually have two italian restaurants, the one we went is located at Taipei medical univeristy (such a weird location right) and is themed according to his movie 不能說的秘密's concept. I did went to his the other italian restaurant before and I think the service staffs there is much more hostile.

Personally, I think the service staffs in the restaurant does not really seems to care about us (maybe because we're tourists). To be frank, the cutomers there are mainly singaporeans. That day when we went, there's this huge group of singaporeans having their dinner there.













































Pumpkin soup, very smooth and creamy. The pumkin taste is rich enough. The restaurant operates like all the other restaurant. You choose your main and you can add a few dollars more to complete into a meal. The set meal comes with soup, garlic bread and a drink.

My 蒜片辣椒天使面 Garlic aglio olio with chilli. The food sucks big time, it's not even spicy as what I expected. I've never eaten such disgusting spaghetti ever in my life. Aglio olio are supposed to be dry right? Why is it so soupy? Wtf! The food at the other italian restaurant is definetly much more nicer. Ate less than half, I eventually gave up hope on that tastless spaghetti.

Went seperate ways with my classmates. Both of them were so sweet, they bought me a pair of pretty bow loafers. Thank you! Meanwhile my aunt and I went to explore area around the restaurant. We were a little hungry as we did not eat alot during dinner and so we bought 鬍鬚張's 魯肉飯 and some famous cream puffs back to the hotel.





魯肉飯 Braised meat rice. It's flavourful and nice. But for me, I think 吃久了就變很膩 because of the fats in the braised meat.



Custard cream puff, the cream is normal, the puff itself is soft and soggy. I don't like it.



Taro/yam cream puff. The taro/yam cream is super awesome because I love yam! Basically, I ate up all the cream and threw away the puff.

Woke up pretty late as we were tired out from the previous day. Had our brunch at Sogo's foodcourt. Walked around in Sogo and went to 東區地下街 to do my nails. It took me about three hours for my french gelish. Back to hotel for a rest before heading out to get our dinner.

Went to Sogo to get our dinner from 鼎泰豐 again. The 鼎泰豐 in Taiwan is cheap and nice, how could I resist. We ordered the same dishes as we ate a few days back. We also got food from 高記 which is just beside our hotel.

It was a beautiful saturday and guess what was happening on that particular saturday? Stage (小豬's shop) was having VIP recruitment whereby you spend $12000NTD ($600SGD) you'll entitle to become a VIP and also a complimentary luggage. Since I'm already in Taiwan, how could I give it a miss?

Woke up very early to have breakfast in hotel, took train to Stage's flagship store which is at 西門丁. Reached Stage at around 9.30am and am very shocked that there's already around fifteen of them in the queue. By they way, the shop only opens at 12 noon, so we waited in the cold breeze for almost three hours. Oh well, my hard work did paid off. Got a couple of tees, bags, VIP and of course my luggage.

Cabbed back to the hotel to put down our loots because we can't probably luge the luggage around in 西門丁 right? Went out again in the later noon for late lunch at Sogo's mos burger before heading back to 西門丁 to shop. Was kind of dissapointed with mos burger's kitchen because their preparation time was far too long. We waited for almost twenty minutes for our meal.







Seasons special, 莎莎漿辣味雞腿堡. It was served pippin hot, the chicken is very crispy and the sauce is very flavourful.

流沙蛋塔 Nothing special, it taste normal to me.



Their fries is super good, it taste like wedges and it's not oily. I like fat fries!





Their KFC offers two types of chicken, the non-crispy one which is like singapore's original and the crispy one. But their crispy one is not spicy at all. I still prefer singapore's crispy.



Season's special, 泰式香檸霸王腿. The thai flavour is not rich enough, not as tasty as I expected.





Their mash potato is awesome. Their sauce is different from what we have in singapore as you can see. Theirs are italian meat sauce, omg!

Woke up pretty early. Met my classmates at 市政府 (Taipei Cityhall) mrt station for Jay Chou's restaurant. Took cab from the mrt station as the restaurant is suppose to be out of no where at a very ulu place.

Here comes the "exciting" part of the story. We went in, asked for a table for four, and they told us that the restaurant is fully booked. We came all the way down for your restaurant and you can't even squeeze the four of us in? Wtf! Maybe because it was a friday I suppose. So we decided to make a booking for the following day but we were told they were fully booked all the way till monday. We've got no choice so we made a booking on monday evening for dinner since they only have evening slots *roll eyes*

In the end, we decided to make our way to 新光三越 for Dazzling Sunshine for brunch instead. It was indeed a wise choice :D

Dazzling Cafe first started their business a few years back. They've gotten lots of exposure from the media like 康熙來了, magazines and etc. They used to have only one restaurant which is the Dazzling Pink at 東區. It's really hard to book a table over there as they're are always fully book. You may ask me, what's so special about the restaurant? It's got to be their honey toast! It's my first time to their Dazzling Sunshine as I used to visit Dazzling Pink.

My strawberry tea with raspberry





Their limited edition scones, with only 15 servings per day! The scones are serve pippin hot, crsipy on the outside, soft and fluffy on the inside with raisins. The scones are served with jam, butter and cream cheese. I like my scones with butter and jam.



Seasons specialty, 帕馬火腿皮薩吐司磚 (Parma ham pizza toast). The service staffs there is awesome, they'll let customers to take picture of their toast first before they cut it for you. It's my first time trying savoury toast from them. Their italian meat sauce and egg salad taste perfect with the crispy toast. Personally, I don't really like parma ham because it's way too salty for my liking.   





橙汁芥末子鴨胸意大利面 Pan fried duck breast spaghetti with orange sauce. The spaghetti is cooked to perfection, the cream sauce is very good with a hinge of honey mustard taste. The sweet and soury creamy taste is just a perfect entree to start with before indulging into honey toast.



瑞士巧克力鍋蜜糖吐司 Chocolate fondue honey toast! The best way of eating the honey toast is to dip the cube honey toast into the semi sweet chocolate fondue, add some ice cream on it and a piece of fruit to make it perfect.







Went on seperate ways after our brunch. My aunt and I headed to 中正紀念堂.















In the evening, we cabbed to 師大夜市. It's so good to shop there, I won't say the clothes are cheap but they're definetly fashionable. We bought food back to the hotel to enjoy.

燒烤, 貢丸, 香腸 and 七裏香. It's my virgin try of eating 七裏香. To my surprised, it does not have an odour.



One litre 紅茶 and 酸梅湯. It only cost about $2 SGD!
